Building on the past / Shaping the Future
Building on the past / Shaping the Future

We worked with acclaimed architecture practice John Robertson Architects on the celebratory materials for their 25 anniversary. The practice, that was originally established by John Roberston and the late John Hurley was born out of the Dennis Lasden legacy.

The book, Building on the past / Shaping the Future, uses a series of original drawings and artefacts, ‘tipped’ into the publication that also features fold-outs and a Swiss or double spine. The tip-ins are reproduced on yellow and white tracing paper stocks, as per used by the architects in the design of their work.

The book helped to consolidate the marketing proposition of the 100 strong architecture practice with an approach articulated as ‘contextual modernism’. This proposition reflects both the historical significance of the practice but also to reflect the sympathy to current contextual considerations.
