This year saw the first trial of the Sustainable Loudspeaker Design project.

We challenged students to find discarded electrical equipment and waste (where our definition of ‘waste’ is useful stuff in the wrong place) and build a working loudspeaker.

You don’t have to look far to find waste equipment and materials! Working with Jim Wilson we developed a programme of activities and have a listening session planned with Stephen Mallinder of Cabaret Voltaire fame.
