Waste Prints

As part of the Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft Mini-Residencies we have been using the Farley proofing press to produce a series of prints from waste materials from the University of Brighton fabrication lab. Discarded laser-cutting templates have been brought up to type-height and given a new lease of life as a series of experimental prints. Using GF Smith stock kindly donated by Studio Makgill, the prints are an experiment into how the textured paper stocks effect the print quality. You’ll notice a cross-hatching effect that is the paper stock, creating an almost half-tone effect.
